Instructions for Use
Sil.Vet® is a hypertonic buffered solution, with a pleasant odor, for wound disinfection, management and maintenance of wound moisture level. Sil.Vet is a clear solution, protected from microbial contamination by a low concentration of ionic silver and supplied in 100mL, 250mL and 500mL bottles.
INTENDED USE AND INDICATIONS FOR USE
Sil.Vet® is intended for use in animals and pets, by or under the supervision of a veterinarian for disinfection, management, moisturizing and healing acceleration of wounds, different types of ulcers, post-surgical wounds, first and second-degree burns, cuts abrasions and minor skin irritations.
GENERAL DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Sil.Vet is designed for management and moisturizing of wounds and burns.
Facilitate wound healing by applying the Sil.Vet solution directly from the bottle on the wound in one of the 4 ways:
- Applying by means of a syringe or bulb.
- Applying with a device designed to allow for irrigation or lavage.
- Spraying onto the wound using a spray or foam bottle.
- Pouring onto a gauze/dressing or sponge.
Apply 1-2 times daily, according to the veterinarian’s instructions.
If necessary, use Sil.Vet-soaked gauze to gently clean the wound using a circular motion, starting from the center and moving outward.
Sil.Vet solution is ideal for in-house treatment of wounds and serves as an integral part of first aid kit for the treatment of pets and other animals.
Suitable for removing crusty dressings and moistening dressings.
Use up to 10mL of Sil.Vet® solution per each Kg body weight in 24 hours.
Sil.Vet should be used by itself as a stand-alone solution.
Between dressing changes, wash the wound with water or soap and water.
SilVet® Solution can be applied on the wound via a syringe, a spray bottle, irrigation, lavage system or pouring onto a gauze/dressing or sponge.
DO NOT INJECT.
Note: The wound may be cleansed if Sil.Vet® is applied with a 19-22G needle (application pressure of ~10 psi).
DO NOT wash the wound with Saline, Before or After using Sil.Vet as it may reduce the solution’s efficacy.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Note:
- DO NOT wash the wound with Saline, Before or After using Sil.Vet.
- Do not use it together with chloride ions containing fluids. Chloride ions bind to and inactivate silver ions, significantly reducing Silvet efficacy.
CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
- For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes.
- Use only undamaged bottles.
- Do not use in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
- Discontinue use if irritation develops.
- Avoid usage of turbid or intensely colored solution.
- Protect the bottle from direct contact with the wound.
- Bottle that comes in direct contact with the wound must be discarded after use.
- For single patient use only.
- Store between 10˚C-30°C (50˚F-86°F) in a dry place.
- If the bottle is closed immediately after use and the top of the bottle is protected from contamination, the solution may be reused within 28 days from the first opening.
- The empty bottle can be disposed to the regular trash can. A bottle that contains solution should be cleared off to an appropriate site.
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients include water for injection (WFI), glycerol (glycerin), sorbitan monolaurate (Tween-20), TRIS, menthol and silver nitrate 0.01% (w/v).
Each ml contains ionic silver in the form of silver nitrate 0.01% (w/v).
Each package contains nine (12) bottles of 500 mL or 250mL, or twenty-four (24) bottles of 100mL and instructions for use leaflet, which is part of the bottle label.

תמיסת סִילּוֶוט היא תמיסת בופר היפרטונית, עם ריח נעים, לחיטוי, שמירת והוספת לחות וטיפול בפצעים. סילווט היא תמיסה צלולה, המוגנת מזיהום חיידקי על ידי ריכוז נמוך של יוני כסף. היא מסופקת בבקבוקים של 100 מ”ל, 250 מ”ל ו 500 מ”ל
:שימוש יעודי והתוויות לשימוש
סילווט מיועדת לשימוש בבעלי חיים וחיות מחמד, על ידי או בהנחיית וטרינר, לשם חיטוי, טיפול, לחלוח והאצת ההחלמה של פצעים, כיבים שונים, פצעים לאחר ניתוח, כוויות מדרגה ראשונה ושנייה, חתכים, שריטות וגירויי עור קלים
:הוראות שימוש כלליות
תמית סילווט מיועדת לטיפול ולחלוח פצעים וכוויות על ידי מזיגה של תמיסת סילווט ישירות מהבקבוק, באמצעות מזרק פלסטי או במזרק כדור גומי, התזה על הפצע בעזרת בקבוק ספריי, השמה עם התקן המיועד לאפשר שטיפה או על ידי מזיגה על גזה/תחבושת או ספוג
שטפו את הפצע עם סילווט ונקו בעזרת גזה. ספגו גזה יבשה בתמיסת סילווט וחבשו איתה את הפצע
ניתן לכסות בתחבושת חצי אטימה למניעת התנדפות התמיסה
חזורו על ההליך בתדירות של פעם-פעמיים ביום או פעם ביומיים, לפי הוראת הוטרינר
תמיסת סילווט אידיאלית לטיפול ביתי בפצעים ומהווה חלק אינטגרלי בערכת עזרה ראשונה, לטיפול בחיות מחמד ובעלי חיים אחרים. ניתן להשתמש בעד 10 מ”ל של תמיסת סילווט לכל ק”ג משקל גוף בתוך 24 שעות
יש להשתמש בסילווט כפתרון עצמאי
ניתן לשטוף את הפצע במים או במי סבון לפני היישום. השימוש בכל פתרון אחר בשילוב עם סילווט עשוי להפחית את יעילותו
הערה: הפצע ניתן לניקוי אם סילווט יושם בעזרת מחט

אין להזריק -המחט לא אמורה לגעת בפצע
אזהרות והתראות
לשימוש חיצוני בלבד. המנע ממגע עם העיניים
השתמשו רק בבקבוק שלא ניזוק
הפסקו השימוש אם מתפתח גירוי
הימנעו משימוש בתמיסה עכורה או בעלת צבע
הגנו על הבקבוק ממגע ישיר עם הפצע
בקבוקים שבאו במגע ישיר עם הפצע יש להשמיד לאחר השימוש
לשימוש בחולה אחד בלבד
(10˚C-30°C) אחסנו את התמיסה בטמפ’ בין 10-30 מעלות צלזיוס
ניתן להשתמש שימוש חוזר בתמיסה תוך 28 ימים מפתיחת הבקבוק לראשונה, אם הבקבוק נסגר מיד לאחר השימוש
בקבוק ריק ניתן לזרוק לפח האשפה. בקבוק שמכיל תמיסה חייב להיות מסולק לאתר המתאים
.את התמיסה ניתן ליישם באמצעות מזרק פלסטי / טפטפת, ריסוס הפצע מבקבוק ספריי או ע”י התקן המיועד לשטיפה
:הערות
אין לשטוף את הפצע במי מלח/ תמיסת סליין, לפני או אחרי השימוש בתמיסת סילווט
אין להשתמש בתמיסת סילווט יחד עם תמיסות הכוללות יוני כלוריד. יוני כלוריד נקשרים ליוני כסף ומשביתים אותם, מה שמפחית משמעותית את יעילות
